When I started my research during 2020 lockdowns, I wasn't ever a great reader, usually a couple of novels on holiday or 'how to" articles and books. I fell down a rabbit hole by chance and I've not stopped reading ever since. I'm a retired woman with time to do so and confess to having a more dusty and less tidy home now! I am appalled by our governments actions, not just in "health" but geopolitically. Glad you brought up both poliomyelitis, another unique label given to different neuro type illnesses which still occur but are given new labels. The smallpox was discontinued, not because of eradication by immunisation but because it was producing cases! I hope this nightmare with Covid will end but I'm sure the controllers have many more tricks to use on us.
