Letters from Vienna #177
Letter to Horst von Wächter VIII
The Anglo-American Empire and the Rise of Fascism V
Dear Horst,
You cite the experience of many in the Baltic countries, of “repression, fear, and attempts to erase national identities”[1] as the “real reason why the Eastern nations under no circumstances want to come under Russian rule again”. Furthermore, you assert that the fact “that Finland and Sweden want to join NATO for the same reason speaks against your Anglo-American theory.”
Given that, to the best of my knowledge, Sweden has NEVER been under Russian or Soviet rule, this seems to be a factual error on your part. Why should the Swedes fear the Russians? Traditionally: it has been the Swedes who’ve invaded Russia and not the other way around. Has Russia ever posed a threat to Sweden? Does Russia currently do so? One mustn’t, of course, forget that the Swedes (unofficially) sided with the Nazis and even trained them (in Finland) in World War Two!
The expansion of NATO seems to go hand in hand with the expansion of Globalism (even Ireland seems to want to join NATO now!) rather than any real or perceived threat from Russia. NATO is modelled on the Waffen-SS, is essentially an arm of the genocidal Globalists and has perpetrated atrocities in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Libya. Who wouldn’t fear it?
Of History
Perhaps one needs more of a historical perspective.
As I wrote in Letter #57: the Russian Empire was brutal and cruel: it killed the parents of Joseph Conrad and many others besides. In this respect it hardly differed from the British, French, Belgian, Dutch or even German Empires. Empires, are, by definition, evil. This is why the Anglo-American Empire pretends it doesn’t even exist and uses various covers for its nefarious activities. Ultimately however it is closely aligned to if not identical with Globalism and the One World Government project. It’s no accident, for example, that the headquarters of the UN is in New York.
The Russian Empire expanded with extraordinary speed but the reason it dominated Europe in 1815 was because Napoleon had attacked it three years before and the reason it dominated Eastern Europe between 1945 and 1989 was because Germany had attacked it in 1941; if one analyses the Russian posture one must note that it’s always been a defensive one.
Should Russia fear the Anglo-American Empire (together with its European vassal states such as Germany) and its NATO-proxy Ukraine? Given the recent attacks on Russian soil (using American armoured vehicles) it would be hard-put for the Russians to think otherwise.
The Accusations of Niklas Frank
Niklas Frank writes:
“The highest in the hierarchy are politically responsible for every crime within their sphere of influence. The governor of Galicia, your father, even though he had little actual power there, was politically responsible for the murder of the Jews. Just as my father was politically responsible as governor general. He was above your cowardly father in the hierarchy, but that didn’t relieve him of his own responsibility for the mass murders and deportations in Galicia, which my father passed on, so to speak. Both of our fathers could have resigned – for all I care, on presentation of medical certificates about cardiac weakness, rheumatism or the devil knows what. My father even got a huge opportunity, because in 1942 Hitler offered to give him permission to divorce my mother in favour of his mistress if he resigned from the office of Governor-General...”
“But castles, palaces and his armoured Mercedes in the GG were more important to my father and he didn’t give a damn about the mass murders that continued under his political responsibility.”
To this you reply:
“As for Niklas Frank he has no idea about the power balance in the Generalgouvernement, about the shared power between his father and Himmler, of whom Himmler had far greater power and therefore responsibility. Niklas is only interested in the negative statements about his father. His father for him is the greatest criminal there can ever be, even greater than Krüger or Katzmann or Heydrich or Globocnik. Blaming him for what Himmler did is, to my mind, ridiculous...”
“Citations like “Abgehört” by Sönke Neitzel don’t interested him at all, they’re only embarrassing to him in the highest degree because they contradict him.”
It’s ultimately impossible to settle this debate with any degree of satisfaction; there’s simply too much we don’t know. What is most plausible is that Himmler was working on behalf of the Anglo-American Empire and the genocide he perpetrated was in service of the oligarchs such as the Rockefellers (who financed Mengele). This was the reason he wasn’t permitted to survive (he knew too much). I’m also skeptical as to whether Krüger or Globocnik actually committed suicide. Why was Katzmann able to adopt the identity of Bruno Albrecht? Was it because he was willing, like Otto Skorzeny or Reinhard Gehlen, to collaborate with the British and Americans? To what extent were the majority of Nazis simply “technocrats”, willing to change masters at a drop of a hat?
The eugenics inspired genocide, especially the one perpetrated against the Russian POWs and civilians, was in direct contravention to German national interests and was one of the main reasons the Germans lost the war. One mustn’t forget that the Germans were greeted in some parts of Russia as liberators and did, eventually, manage to mobilise some Russians (most notably the Cossacks) against Stalin.
There was a distinct struggle within the Third Reich between those who sought the utter destruction of human life, the eugenics inspired nihilists such as Hitler, Himmler, Krüger or Katzmann and patriotic pragmatists such as your father. Nevertheless, one has to ask the question: how could he work for a regime set on mass murder for quite so long? In this respect: Niklas is right; the only honourable thing would have been to resign.
Who are the Nazis?
It’s curious that you write: “Strangely enough both parties claim the other to be Neo-Nazi – I am convinced this is more true of the Russians than the Ukrainians. Putin will prove to be the great monster like Stalin. The situation seems to be repeating itself like that during WWII.”
In the film: MY NAZI LEGACY: WHAT OUR FATHERS DID, you met with Ukrainians wearing German uniforms (including that of the Waffen-SS!), who were full of admiration for your father. Didn’t you think this was a bit odd? Didn’t you think it worrying that Nazi ideology was alive and kicking in the Ukraine? Weren’t you disturbed that the Svoboda Party had originally been called the Social-National Party of Ukraine? Or the fact that the Neo-Nazis had been used as storm troopers in the anti-democratic putsch in Kiev popularly known as the Maidan? Or that they had been directly responsible for the murder of over 200 peaceful demonstrators in Odessa in May 2014? That Sands simply categorically denied the existence of Neo-Nazis is mind-boggling! What is the point of debating about the past if one is in complete denial about the present?
Best,
Michael

Letter to Horst von Wächter VIII
Seems like it’s the same war all over again. All the way back to Egypt and beyond.
