Dear Horst,

Many thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, I agree: “Bloodlands” by Timothy Snyder is very interesting indeed but the fact that it ignores the solid scholarship of Antony C. Sutton or Guido Giacomo Preparata is a profound weakness and undercuts if not wholly discredits its narrative; for all its strengths it remains a product of the Anglo-American Empire. Above all else: it fails to address the question of why the Nazis pursued such an obviously insane strategy, one which was clearly doomed to fail. The answer of course is that the whole project was designed to fail from the very start: the aim of the exercise was to plunder, divide and depopulate Europe in eugenics fashion. This is why the Americans financed the Nazis to begin with and this is why the Nazis never posed a serious threat to the British Empire, preferring to attack Russia instead (which, as Snyder points out: made NO strategic sense whatsoever. The Japanese wanted to use the Russo-German alliance to destroy the British Empire; this was the next, logical chess move in 1940-41. Instead of destroying Britain the Nazis destroyed Germany by attacking Russia; this was the aim all along.)

To quote Snyder: “During this crucial year, between June 1940 and June 1941, German economic planners were working hard to devise ways in which a conquered Soviet Union would make Germany the kind of superpower that Hitler wanted it to become. The key planners worked under the watchful eye of Heinrich Himmler, and under the direct command of Reinhard Heydrich. Under the general heading of “Generalplan Ost,” SS Standartenführer Konrad Meyer drafted a series of plans for a vast eastern colony. A first version was completed in January 1940, a second in July 1941, a third late 1941, and a fourth in May 1942. The general design was consistent throughout: Germans would deport, kill, assimilate, or enslave the native populations, and bring order and prosperity to a humbled frontier. Depending upon the demographic estimates, between thirty-one and forty-five million people, mostly Slavs, were to disappear. In one redaction, eighty to eighty-five percent of the Poles, sixty-five percent of the west Ukrainians, seventy-five percent of the Belarusians, and fifty percent of the Czechs were to be eliminated.”[1]

As Snyder goes on to show: the Germans were never able to fully implement this plan mainly because the execution of the war prevented them doing so; yet they starved and murdered where they could.

“The slaughter that followed the German attack on the Soviet Union in June 1941” wrote Christopher Simpson “is without equal in world history. Next to the Nazis’ operation of the anti-Jewish extermination centers at Treblinka, Sobibor, Birkenau, and elsewhere, the most terrible crimes of the entire war took place in name of anticommunism in the German-occupied territories on the eastern front. Civilian casualties in these areas were so enormous, so continuous, and so extreme that even counting the dead has proved impossible. Scholars have attempted to deduce the numbers of fatalities from captured German records, reports of Einsatzgruppen (mobile execution squads). The evidence indicates that between 3 and 4 million captured Soviet soldiers were intentionally starved to death in German POW camps between 1941 and 1944. At least a million and a half Jews were exterminated inside Nazi-occupied Soviet territory, mainly through mass shootings but also through gassing, deportation to extermination camps, looting and destruction of villages, hangings, and torture. The generally accepted figure for all Soviet war dead is 20 million human beings—about 15 per cent of the population of the country at the time—but the destruction was so vast that even this number can be only an educated guess.”

“The Nazis deliberately used famine as a political weapon in the East, and it soon became the largest single killer. As the German invasion of the USSR began, General (later Field Marshal) Erich von Manstein ordered that “the Jewish-Bolshevist system must be exterminated. ... In hostile cities, a large part of the population will have to starve.” Nothing, Manstein continued, “may, out of a sense of mistaken humaneness, be distributed to prisoners or to the population—unless they are in the service of the German Wehrmacht.””

“This was a war not only of conquest but of extermination. Entire regions of the USSR were to be cleared of the existing Communist apparatus and of Slavic “subhumans” to make way for settlement by “Aryan pioneers.” Above all, it was believed necessary to con- duct an ideological war to wipe out the “Jewish-Bolshevist plague” and those who were its “carriers.””

“The Nazis’ mass killings at Lidice, Czechoslovakia, and Oradour, France—where the Germans rounded up the town’s population in retaliation for the assassination of a German official, murdered the captives, and shipped any survivors to concentration camps, then burned the place to the ground–are well remembered in the West today.”

“But inside the Nazi-occupied USSR there were not just one or two Lidices. There were hundreds. Mass killings of the Lidice type took place at Rasseta (372 dead), Vesniny (about 200 dead, mainly women and children), and Dolina (469 dead, again mainly women and children), to name only three.””[2]

One witness relates: “In Rußland haben wir allgemein keine Gefangenen gemacht…Bei mehreren Gelegenheiten haben wir auch ganze Dörfer mit unseren Lötlampen angezündet. Ich erinnere mich besonders an 2 Fälle; den einen in dem wir im Frühjahr 1943 in der Nähe von Charkow ausdrücklich Befehl hatten ein Dorf anzuzünden und alle Einwohner „einschließlich Frauen und Kinder“ umzulegen…Ich stand mit meinem S.P.W. a, Dorfeingang und sah die Infanteristen unseres (sp) Bataillons mit Lötlampen herumfahren und sah zumindest einen, der ein Haus verzündete. Zwischen den brennenden Häusern liefen die Infanteristen unseres Batallions mit Maschinengewehren und Gewehren herum und schossen in die Häuser hinein… Der anderer Fall in dem ein ganzes Dorf ausgerottet wurde und an den ich mich ganz genau erinnere, trug sich im Sommer 1943 bei dem Scheinangriff auf Kursk im Raume Belgorod zu. Damals bekamen die Infanteristen unseres Batallions den Befehl „Lötlampen klar“…ich weiß nicht mehr, ob bei dieser Gelegenheit ausdrücklich erklärt wurde, daß man auch Frauen und Kinder umlegen muss; doch nach der früheren Praxis war klar, was gemeint war. ich sah in diesem Fall deutlich wie Frauen und zwischen ihnen Kinder aus den brennenden Häusern liefen und wie sie dabei von unseren Leuten zusammengeschossen wurden…“[3]

“In Russia we generally took no prisoners...On several occasions we set fire to entire villages with our blowtorches. I particularly remember two cases; the one in the spring of 1943 near Kharkov in which we had express orders to set fire to a village and kill all the inhabitants “including women and children” ... I stood, in my armoured personnel carrier, at the village entrance and saw the infantrymen of our battalion drive around with blowtorches and saw at least one set a house on fire. The infantrymen of our battalion ran between the burning houses with machine guns and rifles and shot into the houses... The other case in which an entire village was wiped out and which I remember very well was in the summer of 1943 during the attack on Kursk in the Belgorod area. At that time, the infantrymen of our battalion were given the order “blowtorches ready” ... I don’t remember whether it was expressly stated on this occasion that women and children should also be killed; but after previous practice it was clear what was meant. In this case I saw clearly how women and children between them ran out of the burning houses and how they were shot by our men…”

Another crucially important historical work, which Timothy Snyder ignores (sadly another proof of how decadent, mendacious and corrupt academia has become) is: the solidly researched “Tragedy and Hope” by Carroll Quigley. To quote the introduction to it:

“There really is a “world system of financial control in private hands” that is “able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world.” I call this system the World Trade Federation. It is an ultra-secret group of the most powerful men on the earth. They now control every major international institution, every major multinational and transnational corporation both public and private, every major domestic and international banking institution, every central bank, every nation-state on earth, the natural resources on every continent and the people around the world through complicated inter-locking networks that resemble giant spider webs. This group is comprised of the leading family dynasties of the Canada, United States, Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Russia and China. This self-perpetuating group has developed an elaborate system of control that enables them to manipulate government leaders, consumers and people throughout the world. They are in the last stages of developing a World Empire that will rival the ancient Roman Empire. However, this new Empire will rule the entire world, not just a goodly portion of it as Rome did long ago, from its ultra-secret world headquarters in Germany. This group is responsible for the death and suffering of over 180 million men, women and children. They were responsible for World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam, etc. They have created periods of inflation and deflation in order to confiscate and consolidate the wealth of the world. They were responsible for the enslavement of over two billion people in all communist nations—Russia, China, Eastern Europe, etc., inasmuch as they were directly responsible for the creation of communism in these nations. They built up and sustain these evil totalitarian systems for private gain. They brought Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin and Roosevelt to power and guided their governments from behind the scenes to achieve a state of plunder unparalleled in world history. They make Attila the Hun look like a kindergarten child compared to their accomplishments. Six million Jews were tortured and killed in order to confiscate billions of dollars in assets, gold, silver, currency, diamonds and art work from the Tribe of Judah–a special group of people. The people in Eastern Europe suffered a similar fate as the armies of Hitler overran these countries, murdered, enslaved, robbed and plundered the unique people who resided there. For the last two and one-half centuries wealth and power have been concentrating in the hands of fewer and fewer men and women. This wealth is now being used to construct and maintain the World Empire that is in the last stages of development. The World Empire is partly visible and partly invisible today.”

To ignore historical reality is foolish and at times, for certain academics: a crime…
