Dear Mr. Hopkins,

I happened upon the same “Die Zeit” (I’m not sure if you’ve read it yet) I mentioned in my previous letter and this time I decided to take notes. The dateline is 24. August 2023 (with an interesting article about Wolfgang Herrndorf in it) and its headline is:

„Sturm auf den Reichstag. Warum waren Sie dabei?“

“Storming the Reichstag. Why were you there?”

The question posed is:

“Im August 2020 versuchte eine wütende Menge, in den Bundestag einzudringen. Wie gefährlich sind diese Menschen?“

“In August 2020, an angry crowd tried to enter the Bundestag. How dangerous are these people?”

Further in one reads:

„Vor 3 Jahren versuchte 400 Menschen, den Berliner Reichstag zu stürmen, unter ihnen ein Gärtner, ein pensionierter Richter und eine Friseurin. Wir haben 45 Beteiligten nach ihren Motiven gefragt und ob sie es noch einmal täten.“

“Three years ago, 400 people tried to storm the Reichstag in Berlin, including a gardener, a retired judge and a hairdresser. We asked 45 participants about their motives and whether they would do it again.”

„Ein „Fest für Freiheit und Frieden“ soll an jenem Samstagnachmittag (29. August 2020) beginnen, unter dieses Motto hat die Gruppe Querdenken 711 eine Großdemonstration in der Hauptstadt angekündigt…Laut Angaben der Polizei folgten rund 38,000 Menschen den Anruf und versammeln sich im Zentrum Berlins. Michael Ballweg, Software-Entwickler und Gründer der „Querdenker“ Gruppe tritt am Nachmittag ans Mikrophon. Ballweg, einer der gefährlichsten Anführer, Führer der Bewegung, ruft eine verfassungsgebende Versammlung aus und fordert die Bundesregierung zum Rücktritt auf. Nichts anders als die Erschütterung der Demokratie ist damit gemeint.“

„A „Festival for Freedom and Peace” was to begin on that Saturday afternoon (August 29, 2020), under this motto the group Quer Denken 711 had announced a large-scale demonstration in the capital... According to the police, around 38,000 people followed the call and gathered in the centre of Berlin. Michael Ballweg, software developer and founder of the “Querdenker” group, stepped up to the microphone in the afternoon. Ballweg, one of the most dangerous leaders… called for a constituent assembly and for the federal government to resign. It meant nothing other than the shaking of democracy.”

To be frank I found the article appallingly badly written (as most of Die Zeit tends to be) and could only find a few snippets worth quoting:

Nik. A. 29-jähiger Gärtner:

“Ich bin nichtsahnend mitgelaufen.“

Nick A. 29-year-old gardener:

“I ran along unsuspectingly.”

Therese Kirschbaum, 47, Heilprakterin:

„Ich habe Schlimmes verhindert, ich habe Tote verhindert, Menschenleben gerettet.“

Therese Kirschbaum, 47, naturopath: “I prevented bad things, I prevented deaths, saved human lives.”

Friseurin Tanja Urbaniak:

„Ich hatte das Bedürfnis, zu zeigen, dass ich mit diesen ganz massiv nicht einverstanden bin…Gut, dass ich da war.“

Hairdresser Tanja Urbaniak: “I felt the need to show that I strongly disagree with this... Glad I was there.”

45-jähriger Gunar Wünsch:

„Wir haben das System an sich angegriffen, nicht die Demokratie.“

45-year-old Gunar Wünsch:

“We attacked the system itself, not democracy.”

In short, having (purportedly) interviewed 45 people about their motives, little of interest was said in the lengthy article.

Yet all four mentioned: Nik. A., Therese Kirschbaum, Tanja Urbaniak, and Gunar Wünsch are, to my mind at least, heroes: they stood up for democracy, freedom, civil rights and protested the Genocide by Jab.

Michael Ballweg must also be seen as a hero, as well as those who opened his eyes to the scope of the deception being perpetrated: Ken Jebsen and Sucharit Bhakdi.

And while one is at it the name of Dr. Andreas Noack must also not be forgotten.

However, I’m pressed for time, am tired and shall have to take up this topic at a later date…
