Letters from Vienna #148
Letter to a German Friend in Korea IX
Of Woods and Trees
Dear I.,
I fear that I haven’t expressed myself with sufficient clarity and apologize if I’ve been opaque in meaning. Saying that “Hitler most probably escaped to South America” is by no means “wild conspiracy theory” nor does it “render harmless” nor “relativize” German crimes against humanity nor does it let Germany or Germans off the hook. Germans, such as yourself, have a historical responsibility and I’d suggest that you at least try to live up to it. The simple fact is that neither the Russians nor the Americans believed Hitler committed suicide in Berlin while there are a number of significant testimonies indicating that he was to be found in South America.
I suspect that you’re unable to see the woods for the trees and your reaction reminds me of a member of an audience who reacts vehemently when they’re told exactly how a magic trick is performed: it “spoils” the whole experience for them.
In my last letter I wrote: “the Globalist Deep State/Establishment/“Fraternity” supplied the Nazis with all their needs (from ball bearings to oil, trucks and tanks) during the war…” and now feel obliged to elaborate on this statement.
“I.G. Farben and Vereinigte Stahlwerke,” Antony C. Sutton tells us “produced 95 percent of German explosives in 1937-8 on the eve of World War II. This production was from capacity built by American loans and to some extent by American technology.”
“The I. G. Farben-Standard Oil cooperation for production of synthetic oil from coal gave the I. G. Farben cartel a monopoly of German gasoline production during World War II. Just under one half of German high-octane gasoline in 1945 was produced directly by I. G. Farben and most of the balance by its affiliated companies.”
“In brief, in synthetic gasoline and explosives (two of the very basic elements of modern warfare), the control of German World War II output was in the hands of two German combines created by Wall Street loans under the Dawes Plan.”
“Moreover, American assistance to Nazi war efforts extended into other areas. The two largest tank producers in Hitler’s Germany were Opel, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors (controlled by the J.P. Morgan firm), and the Ford A. G. subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company of Detroit. The Nazis granted tax-exempt status to Opel in 1936, to enable General Motors to expand its production facilities. General Motors obligingly reinvested the resulting profits into German industry. Henry Ford was decorated by the Nazis for his services to Naziism. Alcoa and Dow Chemical worked closely with Nazi industry with numerous transfers of their domestic U.S. technology. Bendix Aviation, in which the J.P. Morgan-controlled General Motors firm had a major stock interest, supplied Siemens & Halske A. G. in Germany with data on automatic pilots and aircraft instruments. As late as 1940, in the “unofficial war,” Bendix Aviation supplied complete technical data to Robert Bosch for aircraft and diesel engine starters and received royalty payments in return.”
“In brief, American companies associated with the Morgan-Rockefeller international investment bankers — not, it should be noted, the vast bulk of independent American industrialists — were intimately related to the growth of Nazi industry. It is important to note as we develop our story that General Motors, Ford, General Electric, DuPont and the handful of U.S. companies intimately involved with the development of Nazi Germany were — except for the Ford Motor Company — controlled by the Wall Street elite — the J.P. Morgan firm, the Rockefeller Chase Bank and to a lesser extent the Warburg Manhattan bank.”[1]
Charles Higham reports that: “In February 1938 the Securities and Exchange Commission held a meeting to investigate Nazi ownership of American I.G. through a Swiss subsidiary. The commissioners grilled (Walter C.) Teagle on the ownership of the Swiss company. He pretended that he did not know the owners were I.G. Farben and the Nazi government. The commissioners tried to make him admit that at least American I.G. was “controlled by “European” interests.” Teagle replied dodgily, “Well, I think that would be a safe assumption.” Asked who voted for him as a proxy at Swiss meetings, again he asserted that he didn’t know. He also neglected to mention that Schmitz and the Nazi government owned thousands of shares in American I.G.”
“Teagle was sufficiently embarrassed by the hearing to resign from the American I.G. board, but he retained his connections with the company. He remained in partnership with Farben in the matter of tetraethyl lead, an additive used in aviation gasoline. Göring's airforce couldn’t fly without it. Only Standard, Du Pont, and General Motors had the rights to it. Teagle helped to organize a sale of the precious substance to Schmitz, who in 1938 traveled to London and “borrowed” 500 tons from Ethyl, the British Standard subsidiary.”
“Next year, Schmitz and his partners returned to London and obtained $15 million worth. The result was that Hitler’s air force was rendered capable of bombing London, the city that had provided the supplies. Also, by supplying Japan with tetraethyl, Teagle helped make it possible for the Japanese to wage World War II.”
“There was a further irony. The British Royal Air Force had to pay royalties to Nazi Germany through Ethyl-Standard for the gasoline used to fly Göring’s bombers that were attacking London. The payments were held in Germany by Farben’s private banks for Standard until the end of the war.”[2]
In many respects Kai Moltke goes further. He points out that Germany’s economy was, by the end of the 1920s, largely in American hands and that the investment in heavy weapons manufacturing was by no means profit driven (at least not in the short-term); something else was in play.
One can only surmise that a war was being planned very early on and was by no means caused by the megalomaniacal ambitions a single figure, their “dreams”, “visions” or their “madness”. Indeed, if one reads “Das schwarze Reich“ by E. R. Carmin, it becomes abundantly clear that the Thule Society played a central role in the German business (it was also said to be responsible for the death of Rathenau).
Carmin tells us that: “The specifically German fascism, the German National Socialism, the Hitlerism or however one likes to call this movement which arose from the Thule order, ultimately had – in contrast to the Italian fascism – little to do with nationalism or socialism other than in name. Even the ariosophical racial ideology squeezed into the conceptual field of blood, soil, race, space, will and struggle was only the tip of an occult iceberg, was ultimately only the outward appearance of a much more profound esotericism, a religion diametrically opposed to Western rationality. The spiritual and religious foundations of the Third Reich and above all of the SS…were esoteric and occult teachings of the same origin as that of all esotericism. Theosophical, Rosicrucian, alchemical, magical-occult ideas can be found in it – as well as elements from Sufism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Manichaeism or Kabbalistic.”[3]
Most “crazy of all” is Greg Hallett’s book: “Hitler was a British Agent”. In it he states:
“Wars are always created through double agents and compromised principles. Wars are always based on profit. Those who profit ignore the deaths. Those who suffer never get past the deaths…”
“To create a war, you first have to invent a fictitious enemy and then go out and kill them – without killing your double agent. In most instances you have to grow the double agent and the enemy yourself. This has become common practice for over a century.”
“Stalin began his British training in 1907 and Hitler began his British training in 1912. In both cases these double agents ended up as Heads of State running foreign countries given to them by their trainers.”[4]
There are, of course, the “Hitler went rogue” theory or, more plausibly the “Hitler offended the MacKinder Principle” (see letter #104[5]) theory. If one accepts the “Hjalmar Schacht was Wall Street’s man” idea, which I happen to do, the continual conflict between him and the top Nazis becomes clear: the Nazis, including Hitler, wanted Germany to become autonomous from “international finance” (Wall Street & the Bank of England) while Schacht was forever complaining about the unnecessary expense of autarchy.
Once Hitler attained a degree of independence in early 1939, the “Hitler went rogue” theory goes, he ditched Schacht (Wall Street & the Bank of England) and went off in his own direction. This wasn’t to be permitted. A historical parallel were the actions of Saddam Hussein, who wished to be rid of the Petro-Dollar and Muammar al-Gaddafi, who tried to create a gold-backed currency. Neither actions were tolerated and we all know the consequences.
Most egregious of all was the deal between Hitler and Stalin, the so-called:
“Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact”, which was signed on the 23rd of August 1939; one week later there was war.
There is one piece of evidence I recently stumbled upon which reinforces the “Hallett” theory: “At this point in time (September 1940), when the central conflict in the European war was the air battle between the Royal Airforce and the Luftwaffe, Japan hoped that this alliance might be directed against Great Britain.”[6]
The logical thing to be done in 1940 was to defeat Britain, which would have been a relatively easy thing to do (one reason why Virginia Woolf committed suicide was because she thought a German invasion inevitable – she knew how weak actually Britain was). The only compelling explanation was that something completely different was in play.
I will leave it to your discretion and conscience whether you wish to research this topic yourself. You forever complain that you have so little time to do so. Yet, if that is the case, which I hardly doubt, I’d prefer it if you didn’t dismiss the research of others as “conspiracy theory”. The official narrative simply doesn’t hold water and something better is needed.

Why do people dismiss carefully-researched evidence. I know the answer, of course, because no one wants to believe it might be accurate and therefore earth shattering. Since we are having our global reality shattered anyway, then why not dig deeper? Jack is not going back into any kind of box.
